Unlike most other system tweakers, you can expand X-Setup's arsenal of options without having to download the program all over again. Instead, you can download extra plug-ins and wizards from the Internet.
Downloading plug-ins and wizards through X-Update
A nice feature of X-Setup is X-Update: with this program, you can download and install new plug-ins and wizards without need to browse the internet for hours! For more information, see X-Update.
Downloading plug-ins and wizards from web sites
Some other plug-in developers have created websites to download plug-ins from, and X-Setup has a nice easy facility for importing new plug-ins into the program.
If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, then often you can just click on a plug-in or wizard on a web page, and X-Setup will download it and install it for you. It even refreshes itself so that the plug-in or wizard can be used straight-away (no need to press F5).
Note: Some authors put their plug-ins/wizards inside ZIP archives, in which case you will need a program capable of extracting files from these archives. Xteq recommends WinZip (shareware), PowerArchiver (freeware) and EnZip (freeware).
